Hospice Foundation of the Ozarks was founded in 1997 as a nonprofit foundation to champion the benefits of hospice care and provide grants to support a wide scope of end-of-life services in the Ozarks. Its philanthropic reach has extended to include a variety of grief and bereavement services, hospice care, palliative care, community outreach and other vital disciplines. Education has been a vital component of the Hospice Foundation of the Ozarks’ mission.
The purpose of the Hospice Foundation of the Ozarks is to:
- Engage the community in conversations on death and dying.
- Foster communication and community-based solutions that improve end of life.
- Sponsor educational programs on end of life care for community members and health care professionals.
